For over a decade, bridge and Flexperto have been the leading providers of digital advisory platforms. Advisors in the insurance and financial services sector find ideal conditions in both applications for conducting highly interactive, engaging client consultations. Below we outline the key similarities and noteworthy differences — from the advisor's perspective, as objectively as possible.
Room Setup and Client Access
Both platforms allow you to open a consultation room with just a few clicks. Flexperto is slightly faster, as only the client's email address is required to start a session. bridge requires a client name to assign consultation content, but in return allows clients to join without an email address at all.
Both platforms support multiple participants — in bridge, clients can also join directly using a six-digit access code.
In-Call Features
Both bridge and Flexperto offer video functionality and screen sharing for all participants at a comparable level. Digital signatures are handled via InSign in both applications, allowing clients and advisors to sign documents legally before, during or after a consultation. In bridge, signatures appear directly on the document in real time, so clients immediately see what they are signing.
Both platforms offer optional co-browsing for jointly viewing, using and filling in websites. Post-consultation ratings are available in both systems.
Flexperto
- Whiteboard for all participants (drawing, writing, document upload)
- Faster session start (email address only required)
- Ratings via numbers or custom closed questions
bridge
- Live PDF viewer with interactive fields, optimised for mobile devices
- Drawing tool built into running presentations, shareable with all participants
- Code-based access — no email required from the client
- Star ratings (up to 5) with optional comment
Documentation
Both platforms provide a recording of completed consultations. Flexperto's help documentation currently states that recordings are available for 7 days and do not meet the MiFID II standard. A connection to a MiFID account was not found in the current version.
bridge offers MiFID II-compliant recordings as well as audio transcripts. Every completed bridge consultation is automatically documented and provided as a PDF for both the client and the advisor — and, where required, for the overarching sales organisation. Because all conversation content, shared elements and screen sharing can be co-signed by both parties, the documentation is legally secure and traceable for years.
While Flexperto has focused on appointment booking functionality for many years, bridge only recently expanded in this area to a comparable extent. bridge's primary focus has always been on interactive sales stories and the optional DIN 77230 financial analysis — enabling fully standards-compliant advisory of private households.
Pricing
bridge is currently available at €99 per month for the Premium version (excl. VAT), with a monthly cancellation option. Flexperto costs €65.45 per month under the same conditions. Given the differences outlined above, the value-for-money ratio is broadly comparable — and for advisors who use all available features, bridge offers significantly more. Custom pricing is available from both companies for enterprise accounts.
